The Park Playground, a leading innovator in virtual reality entertainment, developed a groundbreaking free-roaming VR game titled “Don’t Scream.” To ensure a successful launch, we were entrusted with creating an impactful brand trailer that would capture the essence of the game and build anticipation among audiences in both Belgium and the UK.
From script to scream
To effectively convey the thrilling and immersive nature of “Don’t Scream,” our team took a comprehensive approach, handling every aspect of the trailer production from initial concept to final delivery. The project involved several key phases:
- Storyline, Storyboard & Script Writing: We began by developing a compelling storyline that would resonate with both gaming enthusiasts and casual audiences. Working closely with The Park Playground, we crafted a storyboard and script that highlighted the game’s unique features, suspenseful atmosphere, and connection to William Boeva’s popular TV show, “Don’t Scream.”
- Production: Our team meticulously planned and executed the production, ensuring that every detail aligned with the creative vision.
- Videography and Edit: The production involved extensive videography work, capturing high-quality footage that showcased the intense and immersive gameplay. We then edited the footage to create a fast-paced and visually striking trailer that would hold viewers’ attention and convey the game’s excitement.
- VFX / Greenkey: To enhance the realism and intensity of the trailer, we employed advanced visual effects and green key technology. This allowed us to seamlessly integrate the virtual elements of the game into the live-action footage, creating a visually cohesive and immersive experience.
- Sound Design: Sound plays a critical role in building suspense, especially in a horror-themed game like “Don’t Scream.” We developed a custom sound design that amplified the tension and heightened the overall impact of the trailer.
The result
The trailer was launched as part of The Park Playground’s marketing campaign for “Don’t Scream,” with versions tailored for both Belgian and UK audiences. The trailer successfully captured the thrilling essence of the game, creating buzz and excitement ahead of its release. The collaboration with William Boeva added star power and authenticity, further engaging potential players.
