The brief

To create a brand movie for Toon De Somer that goes beyond standard corporate content. The goal was to visually translate craftsmanship, quality materials, and the company’s diverse activities into one coherent story – ready for the launch and opening of their new office, within a very short timeframe and with minimal disruption to daily operations.

Our approach

Rather than producing isolated pieces of content, we developed a full brand movie concept in close collaboration with Toon De Somer himself. The concept and storyboard were created and approved on short notice, with a clear focus on authenticity.
We deliberately chose a light, slightly playful tone to keep attention high, while showcasing the positive work atmosphere and the human side of the company. Toon’s personality, values, and character were subtly woven into the narrative as the driving force behind the brand.

Execution

The shoot took place over two days at two locations: the production workshop / joinery and the office. Visually, we focused on creating a strong atmosphere through carefully chosen lighting, colour palettes, and material accents. Details played a central role – reflecting the level of precision and care that defines Toon De Somer’s projects and aligning seamlessly with Ready to Rumble’s own vision.

All scripting, filming, and post-production were handled fully in-house.

A voice-over was recorded on location with Toon himself, serving as the narrative thread that connects the company’s different disciplines into one clear story. Special attention was given to sound design, balancing voice-over and sound textures to fully immerse the viewer especially in large-screen presentations.

A dedicated part of the film highlights the company’s history, an essential strength and foundation of the brand. While working with actors was considered, nothing felt more authentic than featuring Toon himself as founder and owner. Only the final shot was sourced from previously recorded footage by a third party.

The result

A cinematic brand movie that captures the quality, craftsmanship, and character of Toon De Somer delivered within a tight deadline and ready for launch. A film that not only showcases what they build, but who they are.
